On Saturday, 31 August 2013, in the evening at 19:20, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with P. Lukšio street, a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 26-year-old pedestrian, who failed to obey traffic-control signals. He was drunk (1.86‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
