On Saturday, 31 August 2013, at night at 23:01, in Vilnius, on Taikos street, at the junction with S. Stanevičiaus street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 and a Ford Fusion. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi, who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (2.40‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 60 km/h.
