On Saturday, 31 August 2013, in the evening at 21:13, in Biržų district municipality, on Tiekimo street near No. 4, a Volkswagen Golf rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.68‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
