On Friday, 6 September 2013, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 120), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo XC70 and a Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Volvo (25 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober.
