On Thursday, 12 September 2013, in the evening at 18:42, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Kovo 11-sios street, a Peugeot 205 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.52‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
