On Monday, 16 September 2013, in the morning at around 8:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 279.40), a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (19 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
