On Monday, 16 September 2013, in the evening at around 22:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on Vyngio street near No. 3, a BMW 735 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the BMW (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
