On Tuesday, 17 September 2013, in the afternoon at 13:30, in Prienų district municipality, Alšininkų village, a MTZ P0501 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the MTZ (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
