On Tuesday, 24 September 2013, in the morning at 9:20, in Panevėžys, on Aukštaičių street, at the junction with Velžio kel., an Opel Vectra hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.10‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
