On Tuesday, 1 October 2013, in the afternoon at 14:22, in Kaunas, on P. Lukšio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Espace and a Citroen Xsara. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Renault, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.46‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
