On Monday, 30 September 2013, in the morning at 5:30, in Kupiškio district municipality, on Panevėžio street, a Renault 19 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.34‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
