On Monday, 7 October 2013, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Alytus, on A. Juozapavičiaus street, at the junction with Druskininkų street, a Peugeot 406 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Peugeot (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.12‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
