On Friday, 11 October 2013, in the evening at 17:02, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 48.10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Sharan (19 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. All drivers were sober.
