On Monday, 21 October 2013, in the afternoon at 14:44, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 89), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene.
