On Saturday, 26 October 2013, in the afternoon at 12:05, in Kaunas, on Neries krantinė street, a Peugeot 405 rolled over. One person was injured — a 3-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed and entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (1.79‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
