On Monday, 28 October 2013, in the morning at 8:46, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 109.30), a DAF FT XF95 registered in Ukraine ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Ukraine) (25 years of driving experience), who was taken ill at the wheel. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
