On Wednesday, 30 October 2013, in the evening at 17:16, in Mažeikių district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Laižuva regional road (kilometre 4.58), a BMW 525 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk.
