On Wednesday, 30 October 2013, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šiauliai, on Aido street near No. 8, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 32-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
