On Friday, 1 November 2013, in the evening at around 19:00, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Ukmergė–Molėtai national road (kilometre 24.70), a Volkswagen Polo rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.74‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
