On Saturday, 9 November 2013, at night at around 1:00, in Klaipėda, on I. Simonaitytės street near No. 24, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Hyundai Excel and a Renault Megane Scenic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Hyundai, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was under the influence of psychoactive substances and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, there was fog, the road surface was wet.
