On Saturday, 9 November 2013, in the evening at 17:20, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 98), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo FM, an Audi A6 and a Kaessbohrer APT 012. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volvo (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
