On Friday, 8 November 2013, in the afternoon at 11:40, in Kalvarijos municipality, on Suvalkų street, at the junction with Alytaus street, an Audi 80 registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Audi (a citizen of Latvia), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
