On Saturday, 16 November 2013, at night at 2:30, in Kaunas, on K. Donelaičio street, at the junction with A. Mackevičiaus street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 407 and a Mercedes-Benz E220. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. She had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
