On Saturday, 16 November 2013, at night at 23:30, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr. near No. 49, a BMW 316 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
