On Friday, 22 November 2013, in the evening at 21:57, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Parko street, a Citroen Xsara hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 21-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Citroen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
