Honda Civic driver flees after hitting pedestrians on Stoties street, Kuršėnai
On Sunday, 24 November 2013, in the evening at 21:30, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Stoties street near No. 20, a Honda Civic hit two pedestrians away from any crossing and left the scene. Two people were injured — a 32-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 33-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by a 32-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). She was drunk (3.31‰ blood alcohol). The driver was sober. The 18-year-old driver of the Honda had no driving licence. A 33-year-old pedestrian was drunk (2.89‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
