On Monday, 25 November 2013, in the afternoon at 15:38, in Tauragės district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Jūros street, an Opel Vectra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 19-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 67-year-old driver of the Opel (24 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
