On Wednesday, 27 November 2013, in the afternoon at 11:48, in Kaunas, on M. K. Čiurlionio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 523 and a Citroen Berlingo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.48‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
