On Friday, 29 November 2013, in the evening at around 20:00, in Panevėžys, on Aukštaičių street near No. 66, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and a BMW 530 D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the BMW 525 (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
