On Tuesday, 19 November 2013, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on Radvilėnų pl., at the junction with Vydūno al., a Citroen Xsara Picasso hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 53-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Citroen (4 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
