On Saturday, 7 December 2013, at night at around 2:00, in Kaunas, on Žarėnų street near No. 22, a Lexus IS 200 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Lexus (5 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
