On Tuesday, 10 December 2013, at night at around 1:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 407, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf, a Volkswagen Passat and an Opel Meriva. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Golf (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
