On Wednesday, 11 December 2013, in the evening at 19:08, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Molainių street, a Volkswagen Passat registered in Sweden hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 23-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (17 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
