On Monday, 16 December 2013, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Studentų street near No. 71, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volvo XC90 and a Nissan Sunny. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volvo (6 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
