On Friday, 20 December 2013, in the afternoon at 13:23, in Molėtų district municipality, on the Giedraičiai–Bekupė–Želva regional road (kilometre 1), an Opel Vectra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.67‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
