On Thursday, 26 December 2013, at night at 0:08, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Draugystės street near No. 8, an Opel Vectra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
