On Thursday, 9 January 2014, in the evening at 17:21, in Vilniaus district municipality, Nemėžio village, on the Vilnius–Minskas (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 8.45), a Nissan X-Trail hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Nissan (9 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
