On Saturday, 11 January 2014, in the morning at 6:40, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Derceklių village, on Karvaičių street, at the junction with Sėkmės street, a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 33-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene.
