On Thursday, 26 December 2013, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Anykščių district municipality, on Tvenkinio street, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
