On Saturday, 18 January 2014, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Antašava–Astravai regional road (kilometre 1.50), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
