On Saturday, 8 February 2014, in the evening at 18:20, in Varėnos district municipality, Krivilių village, on Krivio street near No. 40, a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
