Drunk Mitsubishi Colt driver runs off the road in Sankelių village
On Friday, 14 February 2014, in the evening at around 20:00, in Vilniaus district municipality, Sankelių village, a Mitsubishi Colt ran off the road. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.91‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
