Unlicensed Land Rover driver hits a parked Volvo and flees on Stoties g., Vaškų town
On Saturday, 22 February 2014, at night at around 23:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, Vaškų town, on Stoties street near No. 2, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Land Rover Discovery and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Land Rover, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. A 25-year-old passenger of the Land Rover was drunk (2.39‰). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
