On Wednesday, 5 February 2014, in the morning at around 8:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Butiškiai–Užpaliai regional road (kilometre 2), a Mazda 323 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Mazda (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
