On Friday, 28 February 2014, in the evening at 20:30, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 68, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 and a Nissan Almera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW (6 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
