On Saturday, 1 March 2014, in the evening at 19:26, in Šilutės district municipality, Kukorų village, a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Primera and a bicycle. One person was injured — a 38-year-old cyclist (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Nissan, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
