Hit-and-run Opel Vectra driver and Ford crash in Šturmų village
On Friday, 7 March 2014, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Šturmų village, on the Priekulė–Sakūčiai–Ventė regional road (kilometre 26), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Opel (17 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
