On Wednesday, 5 March 2014, in the evening at 20:30, in Ukmergės district municipality, Kančiškių village, on the Lokėnai–Vepriai–Gelvonai regional road (kilometre 5), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Prius and a Hyundai Sonata. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Toyota (11 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
