On Thursday, 20 March 2014, at night at around 2:00, in Joniškio district municipality, Jauniūnų village, on Ąžuolų street, at the junction with Purienų street, a Rover 75 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Rover (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
