On Sunday, 23 March 2014, in the evening at 17:25, in Kretingos district municipality, Vydmantų village, on Gintaro street, at the junction with Žalioji street, a Rover 220 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Rover (26 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.58‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
